The Beach Company partnered with Samet Corporation on the speculative warehouse, Palmetto Spec in North Charleston, contributing to the growing industrial market in the South Carolina region. Lithko’s scope is comprised of spread/continuous footings, 150,000 square feet of 6’’ thick slab, and 55,000 square feet of paving.
During planning, our Project Team chose specific and deliberate sequencing in conjunction with a Laser Screed to maximize quality and efficiency while minimizing preparatory work. This resulted in 4 pours at approximately 37,550 square feet each with an average tolerance of FF70/FL50. With Palmetto being a speculative building, there was no tenant at the onset of the project resulting in numerous design changes for our team to maneuver to ensure accurate and timely layout. Despite the design changes coupled with constant, inclement weather (including a Hurricane) we met and overcame these challenges to bring Lithko’s primary scope in ahead of schedule.
