Lithko co-workers are active members of their home communities, and play important roles in local educational institutions and charities, both individually and through their BURGS. Each BURG has the freedom and opportunity to determine when, where and how to get involved.
Some donate their time building homes with Habitat for Humanity, leading guided hunts with the Wounded Warrior Foundation or volunteering with local food banks, to name just a few of the ways they get involved. Others make monetary contributions to causes of their choosing, with many supporting victims of tornadoes, hurricanes and other natural disasters.
An example of how we have gone beyond the jobsite to help communities in need is the 2016 Intern Event. We donated our concrete services to Hope House, a provider for survivors of domestic violence. The Lithko Intern class, business unit leaders, and the CEO spent the day placing a new patio, fixed 4 sidewalks and put in two new ramps to help with their deliveries.
