Matt joined Lithko as an intern and had a great experience. He came on full time after graduation as a Project Coordinator in the Columbus BURG, then moved to Kansas City in 2000 and rose to Preconstruction Lead. His next role was the Area Lead of the Indianapolis BURG. He is now a Regional Business Analyst for the Central States Region. Matt chose Lithko because he liked the down to earth culture and the pragmatic people. He earned a bachelor’s in construction science management from Kansas State University in 1996. Matt is a member of the Construction Financial Management Association and Pheasants Forever. Married with two children, he enjoys Kansas State University athletics, coaching Little League baseball and basketball, playing golf, hunting and barbecuing.
Brian grew up in Cincinnati and earned his bachelor’s in accounting from Miami University of Ohio. After graduating, he earned his CPA and worked three years in public accounting at Deloitte and Touche. He took a job with a client as Controller and ultimately progressed to Vice President of Finance for Builders Firstsource, a national building supply company out of Dallas, Texas. After he and his wife had twins, they decided to move closer to home in Cincinnati. Ultimately, Brian was referred to Lithko. He began his career with Lithko in 2007 as CFO. He enjoys spending time with his family, coaching and all sports.
Jeff started as a valued member of the Lithko team 20 years ago, serving in a number of roles in three states. After graduating from Kansas State University with a bachelor’s in construction science management in 1995, he started at Lithko as a Project Coordinator in Ohio. He then helped open the Kansas City BURG and became their Preconstruction Lead. Jeff left Lithko in 2004, returning to our Columbus office in 2010 for the focus, structure and discipline that he felt other companies lacked. In 2014 he advanced to the Indianapolis Area Lead and now the Midwest Regional Business Analyst. Jeff is married, has four children, and enjoys activities with his kids, hiking, exercising and swimming.
Upon graduating from Indiana University, where he played football, Jason Boyd started his career with a large concrete contractor. During the early 2000’s, Jason Boyd was introduced to Lithko’s key leadership while attending social industry events. He started forming relationships with these leaders and soon was exposed to Lithko’s team oriented culture and unique business strategy. Wanting to play a part in this strategy and the growth of Lithko, Jason came on board in 2008 as part of the Surround Group. The Surround Group focused on acquisitions and emerging markets. The Charlotte acquisition in particular, was a key milestone in which Jason help secure. In 2010, Jason moved to Lithko Cincinnati as a Project Lead on Good Samaritan Parking Garage, and Home Depot distribution center in Salem, Oregon. From there he was promoted into an Operations Manager; focusing on developing Cincinnati’s capacity and competency. Jason now gets to work closer to his home town due to his promotion as the Area Lead of the Indianapolis BURG. Jason is married with three children. He enjoys hunting, fishing, coaching football and volunteering for “Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry”.
After careers in engineering contracting and formwork, Tom joined Lithko in 2015 because he was attracted to the company growth, structure and the work/life balance. While project manager for the engineering contractor, he worked on small wastewater treatment plants and bridges. During his formwork career, he was responsible for business development, sales, engineering, operations and finances. Tom earned a bachelor’s in science, focused on construction management, from Purdue University in 1998 and a MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2001. He is married, has two daughters, and stays very busy practicing Taekwondo, golf, precision shooting, cooking and skiing.
Robert started working for a small family-owned tool and equipment company in 1997. After it was acquired twice by large national companies, he left in 2008 to join Lithko. His responsibilities were to help set and maintain company direction regarding equipment use and financial impacts. Today he also processes solutions for company challenges through cloud-based software. Robert serves on the board of the Upper Arlington Bear Cub Little League Association, is married with two children, golfs and coaches youth sports.
Chris has worked in concrete construction since graduating from Thomas More College with a bachelor’s in accounting in 2000. His first role was in general ledger, then he was promoted to manager of finance. In 2004 he joined Lithko as a Controller, and moved into his current position in 2008. Chris was attracted to Lithko’s strategy and saw the opportunity to take on more responsibility and make business decisions. He is a member of Vistage CEO Group #4070, the local chapters of Associated General Contractors and the Association of Builder Contractors. He is married with three children and greatly enjoys spending time with his family.
Lithko was performing the concrete work on a project that Chris was working on as a general contractor. Lithko made a big impression on him. He liked what he saw of the Lithko culture and felt he could be an influencer. After working in our Cincinnati BURG for three years, he helped open the Allentown BURG and served as Area Lead. Chris then accepted the Columbus, Ohio Area Lead position when his children became school age, because he wanted to work closer to family. He graduated from Miami University of Ohio with a bachelor’s in political science after earning an associate's degree in construction management from Cincinnati State Technical and Community College. Married with two children, he loves hunting, fishing and being outdoors.
Greg started his career in consumer product manufacturing in 2000 as a Plant Manufacturing Engineer in Asheboro, North Carolina. He eventually was promoted into operations management and transferred to a sister facility in Maryville, MO. In 2009, Greg decided to leave the workforce to pursue his MBA at Northwest Missouri State University. Upon graduating in 2010, he began working for a large manufacturer of commercial aircraft interior systems. He worked his way into the role of Global Director of Operations and Supply Chain where he spent a lot of time in the Philippines transferring the supply chain and manufacturing operations from Kansas. After sixteen years in manufacturing Greg became interested in learning a new industry. In September of 2016, Greg joined Lithko as the Area Lead for Kansas City. He chose this different career path because Lithko respects and values their people and understands the need for work life balance. Greg and his wife Heather have a blended family of five children. They are very active in their church and enjoy doing family activities; flying kites, driving go-karts, riding bikes, and building flying model rockets. Greg also enjoys hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles.
Alan earned his Bachelor’s degree in engineering at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. He then continued with graduate studies at the Milwaukee School of Engineering and Executive Leadership Studies at Northwestern and the University of Michigan. His professional background includes consulting, manufacturing, engineering, quality, operational excellence and organizational development. He spent most of his career with a consumer-focused company, where he led and developed the implementation of a standardized manufacturing way across multiple sites. He was instrumental in developing the capability of people at all levels. After 11 years, he felt it was time for a change and an opportunity presented itself at Lithko to help facilitate and serve as a catalyst in the growth of the company by helping to develop employees realize their true potential. Not only is this a passion of his, but being able to work with a company made up of great people appealed to him. In early 2017, Alan joined the Lithko team as the Vice President of Talent where he leads other thought leaders to create and execute key talent solutions to support our strategic plan and enable growth. Alan enjoys traveling to new and exciting places with his wife, which is a good thing due to their 3 children spread out from Washington to Chicago.
After nine years of successfully helping Commercial and Federal clients with strategy and process issues, Ryan decided to get off the road and settle down in Ohio. Upon doing this, Ryan was responsible for managing the continuous improvement activities across the multiple locations of a large defense contractor. After two years there, Ryan joined Lithko in 2014. Ryan earned a bachelor’s in biology and economics from The Ohio State University in 2001, and an MBA in operational management from the University of Cincinnati in 2003. Ryan serves on the local United Way board. He is married with one son, and enjoys ice hockey, golf, attending athletic events and traveling.
Since his teens, Perry has had a passion for concrete construction. He grew up in Kansas, earned a bachelor’s in construction management from Kansas State University and started his career with a Wichita contractor. In 1986, he and his wife Pamela moved to Columbus, Ohio, where he worked with a national concrete contractor as project manager, senior project manager and then operations manager. When their third boy was born, Pamela and Perry wanted him to find a job with less travel. He and others left the national contractor in the early 1990s to start a commercial concrete division within a restoration company. They separated from that company in the early 2000s to form Lithko, focusing on middle market concrete construction. Over time, they added more locations and Lithko Contracting, LLC has evolved to the company we know today.
Andy knew from a young age he wanted to work in construction. He graduated from the University of Toledo in 2006, earning his bachelor’s in Construction Engineering. He worked fulltime for a small, self-performing general contractor throughout college, focusing on estimating light commercial projects. Upon graduation, he and his wife purchased a home in Columbus, Ohio. After interviewing with a handful of companies, Andy decided to begin his career at Lithko as a Project Coordinator. He felt Lithko was the best cultural fit and it gave him the opportunity to continue working in concrete construction. As his project coordination career progressed, he began mentoring other coordinators and eventually transitioned into burg operations. In January 2017, Andy was promoted to the Area Lead of the Columbus Burg. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, watching sports, and spending time with his family.
After working in the automotive industry for four years and healthcare for seven, Rob found his niche at Lithko. He wanted to work closer to where he grew up in Cincinnati and was attracted to our growth plans and recent success. Rob holds a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from the Rose Hulman Institute of Technology and an MBA from Michigan State University. He is married, has two children and loves spending time with family, golfing and boating.
When Kevin first joined Lithko, he had to leave after just one year to handle family matters out of state. Missing the structure, attention to detail, planning, people and teamwork, he was thrilled to come back to open the Greenville, South Carolina BURG. Kevin graduated from Drury University in Springfield, Missouri, with a bachelor’s in business management and began his career with a small concrete construction company in Springfield as superintendent on retail, entertainment and public works projects. He then moved to Phoenix, Arizona, to work for a large concrete construction company, where he started as superintendent and rose to senior vice president. Kevin's hobbies include riding his motorcycle, football, working out, and traveling. He also enjoys spending time with his four children and three grandchildren.
Andrew has worked in concrete construction his entire career. After college he started as a project manager for a concrete construction subcontractor on large commercial/institutional, industrial and structural projects, working up to a position of a vice president. He left there to work for a large renovation/restoration contractor as a southeast branch manager and then came to Lithko. He was attracted to Lithko's business model and structure, seeing a unique opportunity that panned out nicely. Before his current position, he was Senior Project Manager, then Operations Manager. Andrew is a member of the Carolina Ready Mix Association and the Association of Builder Contractors. He holds a bachelor’s in construction management and a bachelor's in building construction science from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, and a master’s in construction science and management from Clemson University. He is married, has three children and enjoys college football (specifically the Clemson Tigers), snow skiing, bike riding with his kids, attending Formula 1 races and going to the beach.
When approached to help open a Lithko BURG in Charlotte, where he owned a similar business, Mike didn’t have to think hard about the change. He felt Lithko showed more concern for their people than any company he had dealt with over the prior 20 years. He was also attracted to the structure and family atmosphere, where being an Area Lead was like running his own business. Mike holds a bachelor’s in civil engineering construction management from North Carolina State University and is a member of the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce, UNCC Civil Engineering & Construction Management Advisory Board and Carbarres County Meals on Wheels. A married father of four, he enjoys competing in triathlons, sailing, biking and scuba diving.
After college, Mark worked in Ohio as a Lithko Field Lead. Shortly after, he returned to his home state as a Project Lead. In 2010, he opened the Oklahoma City BURG as an Operations Manager, and has since grown that office to twice its original size. Mark earned a bachelor’s in construction management technology from Oklahoma State University in 2003. He is married, has one daughter and enjoys cheering his daughter on in Taekwondo.
Ted started his career with Lithko directly out of college. After working as Field Engineer, Field Lead and Project Lead with Lithko in Ohio from 1995 to 1997, he left the company to return to his Kansas City roots. Luckily, he stayed in contact and was available when asked to help open our Kansas City BURG in 1999. Ted earned a bachelor’s in construction science and management from Kansas State University in 1994 and worked for a self-performing general contractor during college. He serves on the boards of the Concrete Promotional Group and the Shawnee Community Christian Church, as well as presents concrete seminars to contractors, code officials and architects for continuing education credits through the Johnson County Contractors Association. Married with three children, Ted enjoys hunting, camping, fishing, riding ATVs and playing sports.
Rob grew up in southern Indiana and received his bachelor’s in management and economics from Earlham College. He then worked with a group that developed a multi-location sporting goods business. After that, Rob spent seven years at Deloitte, where he consulted businesses in manufacturing, distribution, retailing and construction. Toward the end of his Deloitte tenure, Lithko was his key client. In 2002, he joined Lithko’s Leadership Team and soon became President. Rob is married with three children, an Army Veteran and a member of the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO), where he ran the Construction Industry Network (CIN) worldwide for three years. He also serves on several boards.
Jeffrey “Butch” Sullivan was born in Lakewood, Ohio. He attended Miami University of Ohio and then started his career as a computer operator. At age 27 he decided to switch industries and went to work as a laborer for a large national concrete company in Cincinnati. He was proud to be promoted to project manager, but not happy about the travel away from family that the position entailed. He and a few co-workers joined Lithko together, where they could build commercial concrete projects, but go home to their wives and children at night. Butch serves on the Lithko and K-Cor Rebar boards. He is also a member of the American Society of Concrete Contractors and the American Concrete Institute. He enjoys spending time with his wife, two daughters, two son-in-laws and grandson. He likes all sports, especially golf.
Randy started his post collegiate career with a general contractor, but soon realized his passion remained in concrete construction where he grew up. Following a stint in the public sector, managing three divisions of a municipal public works department, and then after helping grow a mid-size local concrete contractor, Randy took on the running of Lithko’s Columbus BURG. Randy then helped open the Oklahoma City BURG and is now the Area Lead of the Tulsa & Denver BURGs. Randy holds a bachelor’s in civil engineering from the University of Maryland and is a member of American Society of Concrete Contractors, American Concrete Institute and the American Subcontractors Association.
Will started his career with a specialty concrete contractor while in college and continued to work in the industry for 11 years before joining Lithko as a Senior Project Coordinator. The new opportunity appealed to him because it required less travel, allowing him to put down local roots. In 2011, Will became an Operations Manager in the newly formed Raleigh BURG and now is the Area Lead in both Raleigh and Charleston. In addition to his bachelor’s in construction engineering and management from North Carolina State University, he holds American Concrete Institute Technician and Engineering Intern certifications from the NC Board of Engineer/License Surveyors. Will is married with three boys and one daughter. He enjoys spending time with his family, team building and watching North Carolina State University athletics.
