Kansas City

Starting with two people in 1999, the Kansas City BURG now has over 135 co-workers. In the beginning, our revenue averaged around $5 million per year.  It has now grown to over $35 million per year. An average project in the early 2000s was $150,000 to $300,000 in curb work. Today we average $1 million to $10 million per project and build all types of commercial buildings, including concrete structural frames and tilt-ups.

The 51st and Main luxury apartment complex project, with a parking garage built into a large hillside, moved our BURG into the structural concrete market. We met the schedule, exceeded customer expectations and won an Excellence in Concrete Award from the Concrete Promotional Group for our work. A memorable tilt-up project was the EPA Region 7 Building. Originally a cast-in-place wall, we worked with the customer to make it a tilt-up structure with 245,000-pound panels. During our work on the Bella Sera condominium complex we converted the design of the elevator tower to include eight-story tilted cores over 85 feet tall.
