January Coworker Spotlight- Kenny Ashcraft, Indianapolis Burg

Kenny Ashcraft came to us as a rodbuster from the Cincinnati Burg a couple of years ago. Since coming to Indy, Kenny has taken every opportunity and has ran with it. Kenny shows great work ethic and does whatever it takes to complete a project.
Kenny has taken over and manages 10-20 rodbusters across multiple projects daily. He shows a real drive to maintain a safe and quality driven project. He always has a great plan and meets production goals easily. He stays in constant communication with our project and operations teams to move manpower effectively and efficiently. He recently has been paired with Jon Knight in our Indianapolis Burg to to assist with moving and communicating regional rebar needs.

Kenny has been a leader in developing our high standards for safety in Indianapolis. He has been at the forefront of our near hit campaign and he shares “lessons learned” from safety observations and near hits in his rodbusters’ daily plans.
Kenny is currently handling manpower needs across the following projects:
Peer Foods
KeHE Freezer
Duke Maintenance Garage

Kenny was also instrumental in leading the charge for reinforcing at our FedEx project. The project consisted of 400,000 square feet of metal deck with mesh and 400,000 square feet of slab on grade with #4s at 12”. Additionally, there was approximately 100,000 square feet of equipment pads with #4s at 12”. Our customer had very high standards for quality, safety, and schedule. Kenny was able to meet our customer expectations with the reinforcing.

“I started Lithko about 2.5 years ago at the Cincinnati Burg. The opportunity just came up, so I seized the moment and I’m glad I did. I started out as an ironworker. I have been happily married to my high school sweetheart, Dionne, for 22 years and we have 4 children together. My favorite thing about Lithko is we are truly a TEAM. None of us can function, as we should without the other moving parts of this company. My most memorable job so far was Fed Ex, because of the daily challenges of the job itself. It absolutely took a team to conquer. I am good at coordinating manpower from other burgs as needed for our jobs here at the Indy Burg. I manage 12 guys on my crew.” – Kenny Ashcraft
