Worker Wednesday: Lamar Demus

Tell us about your Lithko career journey.  What is your current role and how did you get there?

My Lithko career began when I was a senior in college attending our annual career fair. I was greeted by Steve Warren and Kim Plummer. They informed me about Lithko and the opportunities available. I came on board and was mentored by some amazing Lithko coworkers, learning the ins and outs of the company and the concrete construction business. Two years later,  I am still a part of the Lithko family currently working as a field engineer.

Tell us about your family, people in your life that support you.

My family means everything to me. They love me and keep me grounded, shaping me into the person that I am today. I come from a very large family, as I am one of nine children. Currently I live with my girlfriend, my little brother, and my kitten. My family is my world and I would do anything for them. I know they would do the same for me.

Tell us about your Lithko family.

My Lithko family is like no other. They have supported me and guided me since day one. Although my Lithko family may change with each project, I have created a bond with everyone that is indescribable. 2020 has been a challenging year. However, my Lithko family has  been there for me every step of the way. I could not have asked for a better support system.
