Worker Wednesday- Tristan Horton

What do you enjoy about working at Lithko? What motivates you to wake up and go to work?

I enjoy the comradery between coworkers during a project. We spend many hours working together and still choose to hang out outside of work. I am motivated by the continual pursuit of perfection instilled in the project team.

What responsibilities did you have when you first started with Lithko? What are your responsibilities now?

When I started at Lithko I was a project engineer.  My responsibilities were to learn and understand the safety, quality, and production goals across many phases of work. I am now a project coordinator where my responsibilities have increased greatly to include distributing accurate information to the project team, understanding the cost and production for each phase of work, and producing monthly financial reviews.

What has been your favorite project?

My favorite project is the Oklahoma City Convention Center Parking Garage. I experienced great growth in my knowledge of construction during this project while developing lifelong friendships.

What is your career vision?

As I continue to learn and grow at Lithko, I hope to move up and eventually become an area lead.

What work challenges excite you?

As a project coordinator, it is my job to remove obstacles that are in the way of the field team. When I identify a potential problem and offer a solution to avoid the problem, it is extremely exciting.

What’s something most people don’t know about you?

In my spare time, I enjoy traveling to tropical locations where I scuba dive and go deep sea fishing.
